Annual Calibrations
This includes the calibration of your equipment to ANSI standards and
preventative maintenance.
What you get:
- Calibration of Audiometric Equipment to
ANSI standards. ANSI standards
are the standards set forth by the
Acoustical Society of America.
These standards can be purchased at the
ASA's store.
- With equipment with no ANSI standard available we will do a
performance evaluation ensure the equipment is function properly.
(This will include a sticker and certificate.)
- Calibration sticker will be attached to the piece of equipment with
the calibration date and the suggested renewal date.
- A Calibration certificate with Attenuator error, Frequency, Phone
error, distortion %, preventive maintenance checklist. (Kimmetrics keeps
a copy of this in their records if yours would gets lost.)
- Preventive maintenance will be performed.
- Your equipment will be checked over to prevent a breakdown in the
future. If the equipment needs repaired, Jim can repair on site
unless he does not have the parts on hand. (Repairs and parts are
extra.)
- We will call to schedule your next calibration appointment
approximately one month prior to your equipment's renewal date.
Capabilities
Jim has been calibrating equipment for thirty years. He has kept
abreast of the new equipment while still maintaining the old. He
is factory trained on the majority of equipment. He has been
NASED
certified since it's inception in 1998. He has personally trained our
technicians. His knowledge not only serves to calibrate your
equipment the closest but he can spot symptoms that may lead to problems
down the road. That way he can fix it that day and prevent a break
down during procedures with patients.
- Calibration Equipment
- Kimmetrics only uses top of the line Sound Level Meters. We
currently use a Larson Davis 824. This current equipment allows us
to be more accurate. It also lets us get our work done quicker so
we do not tie up your equipment as long.
- Knowledge
- Our technicians are all
NASED
certified. NASED is a national organization that provides
certified technicians to a national standard. NASED's mission
statement from their website: "NASED
is a trade association Dedicated to establishing, maintaining, and
monitoring the professional and ethical standards of our group members.
The procedures of our group members will be reported in a uniform manner
and meet the highest standards for measurement, documentation, and
reporting of service and calibration
information and thus establish the gold
standard for our industry."
Jim also personally trains all technicians.
- Scheduling & Records
- We will call to schedule your appointments approximately one month
in advance of your renewal dates. We keep a copy of the
calibration certificate and maintain a record of the equipment's
maintenance.
